When I come home from a long day at work, I want just want to relax. I don’t want to bring “the weight of the world” in my home because this should be a place of peace. I’ve always been told to go home and relax. That is something that I struggle with, but I am a work in progress (I’ll save this for a different post). So in an effort to bring peace into my home, I’m going to focus on aromatherapy.
Aromatherapy- use of plant materials and aromatic plant oils, including essential oils, and other aromatic compounds for the purpose of altering one’s mood, cognitive, psychological or physical well-being.
My scent of choice has been lavender.
I recently went to HomeGoods and in the Bath and Body section I saw these different linen sprays with many different fragrances. I purchased Hobo Co. & Sons (Home and Body Company) Linen Spray in Lavender Water. I spray it on my bed and on my curtains and when I walk into my room and instantly feel at ease. Maybe it’s something that is mental, but I do not want to be stressed or feel stressed in a place that should be comforting.

How to Achieve Peace at Home

Research scents and fragrance that are good for relaxation and stress (Lavender, mint, etc.)

Visit a fragrance shop where you can smell the oils and scents from your research
