“A Moment of Gratitude” Rejuvenation

“We must always change, renew, rejuvenate ourselves; otherwise we harden” Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

I’m thankful for being rejuvenated. I work hard, like many of us do. I work long hours by choice because I choose to come in early and leave late. Some days I feel stressed and overwhelmed, which is not healthy. People always tell me to relax. I must admit, I don’t know how to do that. I really struggle with relaxing. If I’m sitting on my couch doing nothing physically, my brain is moving. Then I grab a notebook and start writing down ideas. Then I grab my laptop, and I start working again.

I made a promise to myself. I promise to make sure that I take care of myself mentally and physically by doing something to help me feel renewed and rejuvenated at least once a week. I realize when I do that I’m in a better space and I am more productive.

A few weeks ago I went to Curacao and did nothing. Eat. Pool. Eat. Beach. Eat. Pool. That was my schedule (with other basic things like showering of course :)) I got a massage on the beach and it was the best thing ever. I’m still feeling rejuvenated from that trip. I was finally able to relax. That made me more productive when I came back to work.

So I’m thankful for rejuvenation and for a chance to recharge. Don’t live a life of stress. Always find time to relax and recharge.
