May 2016 Blogging and Personal #Goals!

Can you believe that April is almost over!?!? This year is FLYING by. I mean we are well into the 2nd quarter of 2016 and time will not stop for us.
So earlier this week I posted about ways to setup a goals and rewards system that will help you achieve your goals. You should check it out because it contains a freebie worksheet. Who doesn’t love free stuff?
I haven’t posted goals since November (Shame on me), but I have been working diligently towards meeting my goals that I have established for the year. Well here are my goals for the month of May:

May Goals
  1. Create consistent and relevant content for the blog. What does that mean? Provide two blog posts per week (a total of eight) with practical tips for my readers. So by May 31, 2016 I would have posted on the Joy Journal eight times with content and practical tips for living a joyful life.
  2. Grow Instagram followers. I need to get my social media life together, so I would like to increase my instagram followers by at least 100 people by May 31, 2016
  3. Stick to a specific meal plan and exercise routine. What does that mean? Work out at least three times per week and avoid junk food and fast food five days per week. So by May 31, 2016 I would have worked out at least 12 times and eat health and clean for at least 20 days out of the month.
May Rewards
  1. Take a nap. Yes take a nap. I’m “sacrificing” my nap time to work on the blog. I want this to be a real resource for my readers and a place to interact and help one another grow. So I have to put in the time to work.
  2. If I stick to my meal plan and exercise routine (I’ll share it with you all later on in the month), I will treat myself to a new workout outfit. New workout gear will keep me motivated to continue into June.

What are your goals for the month of May?
