Message in the Music: What Do You Mean?

“Specificity is the basis for cooperation.”

I had a conversation with someone recently about being specific with requests in order for people to cooperate. I thought about Justin Beiber’s song “What Do You Mean?” It tells the classic story of the confusion that comes from people who are indecisive and aren’t specific.

So when someone asks, “What do you mean?” Make sure you clarify. The more specific you are the more cooperation you will get. If you are super specific and they still aren’t responsive, well that is a different conversation and a different post.
